OpTic Gaming has brought on former Counter-Logic Gaming star Tarik “Tarik” Celik to replace Peter “Stanislaw” Jarguz.
OpTic’s new starting lineup is as follows:
- Damian “daps” Steele
- Keith “NAF” Markovic
- Oscar “mixwell” Canellas
- Will “RUSH” Wierzba
- Tarik “Tarik” Celik
Celik, along with team coach Faruk “pita” Pita, had announced their departure from CLG’s starting line-up in July.
The former had took the opportunity to focus on his streaming career, but now returns to the professional scene as OpTic Gaming have announced that they have signed the player to take the place of Peter “Stanislaw” Jarguz, who will be released from the team effective immediately.
OpTic has been experiencing a losing streak in recent months. Their last successful campaign was the first place finish at the ESL One Cologne Americas minor back in May.
The organization issued the following statement on their official website:
“As of today OpTic Gaming will be releasing Stanislaw and moving forward, will be competing with Tarik who is making the transition from Counter Logic Gaming where he was both a player and entertainer.”
“Tarik will be making his debut in front of the GreenWall tonight in their ESL Pro League match vs Team Liquid. Be sure to tune into the match and give Tarik a warm OpTic Gaming welcome and if you want to learn more be sure to check out his player profile on YouTube.”
