Three teams invited to DreamLeague Season 6 had withdrawn from the event due to scheduling conflict with the Boston Major.
DreamLeague – which features eight teams competing for a $231, 0000 total prize pool– will start on October 11.
However, the DreamHack LAN finals are scheduled for 25th to 26th of November, a week before the main event of the recently announced Boston Major.
The schedule clashes with the qualifiers for the recently announced Boston Major. Open qualifiers for the last Valve major of the calendar year take place beginning Oct. 23-26, with the regional qualifiers for the event less than a week later on Oct. 27-30, and the main event a week after that.
As a result, Team Secret, Evil Geniuses and OG – top four finishers at the recently concluded Mars Dota 2 League – had to declined their invites to DreamLague. Scheduled to commence on October 11, eight teams were invited to fight in the League stage for the four available spots into the LAN playoffs at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweeden.
The teams currently remaining in DreamLeague are Natus Vincere, Vega Squadron, Team Liquid, Escape Gaming and Alliance. As of yet, the organizers haven’t announced any possible replacements for the departing teams.
