Splyce.gg have announced that they released David “DAVEY” Stafford and Enkhtaivan “Machinegun” Lkhagva from their roster.
Earlier this year, Splyce made the suprising announcement that they had decided to bring on board the Mongolian superstar Enkhtaivan “Machinegun” Lkhagva, a veteran of The Mongolz.
Now the North American team has announced that they will be saying goodbye to both Machinegun as well as David “Davey” Stafford following a string of dissapointing results from the team, including failing to make it through several qualifiers such as the ELEAGUE Season 2 qualifier or the Americas Minor qualifier
While it had been rumoured that David “DAVEY” Stafford already had a foot out of the door after not playing The Americas Minor qualifier with the team, Splyce have now officialy confirmed that the Canadian player will be free to court teams in hopes of finding a new home.
Splyce has also indicated that the language barrier for Machinegun was also a factor in their decision to remove him from the team. There was no word on his future, as in the team’s official statement:
“DAVEY was an integral part of the growth of CS:GO at Splyce. His expertise, hard work and dedication were part of what brought us to the MLG Columbus Major and will continue to serve him on whichever future team he joins.”
“Machinegun is an incredibly hard worker and an amazing player, but the language barriers were too great a challenge amidst the other difficulties of building a brand new team. He has the potential to be a top talent in the CS:GO scene with the right home.”
“We thank both players for their time and wish them the best in all their future endeavors.”
Splyce’s active roster now has the following three players:
- Arya “arya” Hekmat
- Asger “AcilioN” Larsen
- Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel
