Boston Major champions OG squeezes into final Dota Pit spot

OG won the last Dota Pit League Season 5 European qualifier, and will be the eighth team that will be travelling to Split in January.

OG, the Boston Major champions, had to go through a qualifying cycle of four teams between December 14th and December total in order to reach the finals.

The four participants were also the first European teams to test out the new 7.00 patch in official games.

Despite playing with two substitues as the team captain Fly and the mid lane player Ana took vacations after the Major, OG managed to overcome Polish team Alternate aTTaX 2-0. After that, OG faced the winner of the other semifinal, Alliance, and got another clear 2-0 without too much trouble.

It was more contested affair as Serbo-Croatian team Elements Pro Gaming tried to make a stand against the Boston Major champions. Things started in the worst way possible for OG, as they lost the first two games and were just a game away from being eliminated. The boys in green, however, demonstrated champions’ mentality and won the next three games in a row to win the Grand Finals.

As OG finally got their name down on the 8-team list, the main event that offers a prize pool of $125,000 USD is set to take place in Split, Croatia between January 20th and January 22nd.
