Misfits has released Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu, allowing the Brazilian coach to join Chinese Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pioneers TyLoo.
Misfits released a tweet that read “We can confirm that @peacemakercsgo is no longer a coach or analyst for our CS:GO team. We wish him the best.” on their officially verified Twitter account, formalizing the move.
TyLoo’s new lineup now looks thus:
- Ke “Mo” Liu
- Zhen “HZ” Huang
- Hui “DD” Wu
- HaoWen “somebody” Xu
- Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand
- Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu (coach)
Tadeu, 29, had been one of the most in-demand instructors in the CS:GO scene after finishing 3rd-4th with Team Liquid in ESL One: New York 2016 and his numerous achievements with the North American team.
However, since then he had struggled and was unable to replicate such result with other teams such as NRG esports, OpTic Gaming and Misfits.
His last spell with Misfits saw a semi-final run at DreamHack Open: Tours 2017 as the only significant achievement with the team. With the additional burdens of having to cope with internal issues where he saw his role demoted from coach to analyst as a result of highly disputed dropping of Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan, peacemaker opted to join TyLoo for international events, before seeing his move made permanent not two days later.
However, after coaching Misfits in the recent qualifiers for the PGL Major and ESL One: Cologne 2017, he won’t be able to stand behind his players at the major qualifiers as PGL declared coaches can’t switch teams in the major qualification process. As for ESL Cologne, the same applies due to his prior contract with Misfits.
