OpTic Gaming has confirmed that they had signed Kevin “HS Tarn” from PENTA esports on a permanent basis.
The news had been revealed by Oscar “mixwell” Canellas in the latest episode of OpTic’s “Vision” documentary series, which covers the North American organisation’s decision to build a European team following the departures of Will “RUSH” Wierzba and Tarik “tarik” Celik to Cloud9.

He will play ESL Pro League in North America with OpTic—a team with a perfect record so far with four matches played, albeit against two newcomers, Ghost and Rogue, but would miss the chance to feature in other big stage events overseas after OpTic was removed from DreamHack Malmo and the ELEAGUE Premier after undergoing heavy roster changes.
HS previously helped PENTA win the ESEA Season 24 MDL LAN, finish second at the European Minor and qualify for the Major which in turn, attracted much attention from elite teams as one of the engines in that team.
And with the player, OpTic can seal their roster of mixed nationalities, which now includes:
- Óscar “mixwell” Cañellas
- Adam “friberg” Friberg
- Aleksi “allu” Jalli
- Emil “Magisk” Reif
- Kevin “HS” Tarn
