Two-time Major Counter-Strike: Global Offensive winner Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey will rejoin his former team EnVyUs following a lengthy absence from the competitive scene.
KioShiMa, who was deemed surplus to the FaZe Clan squad after the team’s abysmal performance at the PGL Krakow Major 2017, will now return to his former team EnVyUs.
He will now fill in the spot left vacant by the benching of Alexandre “xms” Forte, who hasn’t been able to live up to the expectation following his entrance into the French team.
A poor 2017 season that saw a poor record of 0.97 rating on LAN saw xms being benched, and the EnVyUs squad was forced to rely upon youth players in Academy player Ali “hAdji” Hainouss and French talent Bryan “Maka” Canda in recent qualifiers.
With kioShiMa joining EnVyUs once again have a five-man lineup, but they would still be expected to field another player as a substitute for Cedric “RpK” Guipouy, who is recovering from his medical issues.
KioShiMa himself had languished on the FaZe bench since August 2017 awaiting a deal with another team, after being replaced by Fnatic’s former star Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer on the roster of mixed European nationalities and prompted FaZe’s dominance at the top of the international scene.
However, kioShiMa is more likely to find himself at home this time around under in-game leader Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer, with whom they had won uo won the DreamHack Cluj-Napoca Major in 2015 together.
