Digital chaos has rejoined the Dota 2 Scene by picking up the entire Animal Planet Squad days before the GESC Indonesia Minor.
Previously, DC saw their last roster was dissolved before the end of the year and some changes in the management structure swa the relocation of the organization to the east coast.
It was a fortunate turn of events for the organization to secure the Animal Planet squad, which should prove to be a strong restart for the NA organization as the team has already been showing promising results.
The NA-based team, which had only formed in early January was picked up by Iceberg Esports only a few weeks later securing themselves a place at the GESC Indonesia Dota 2 Minor set to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia in March 2018.
However, after one month playing under the Canadian banner for EPICENTER XL, DreamLeague Season 9 and DAC 2018 the team returned to their original moniker — Animal Planet after a spate of allegations regarding payment and legitimacy issues around Iceberg Esports.
The team also saw a switch in their roster when they went without a squad, as they replaced Kartik ‘Kitrak’ Rathi with Stanley ‘Stan King’ Yang who will also assume the captain’s role. There is a hitch though, as the change in the lineup will mean that Digital Chaos will need to head through the open qualifiers for TI8 and any points they might receive at GESC Indonesia would be reduced as the penalty for breaking the roster lock.
The current Digital Chaos roster consist of the following members:
- Stanley ‘Stan King’ Yang
- Ravindu ‘Ritsu’ Kodippil
- Jonathan ‘bryle’ De Guia
- David ‘MoonMeander’ Tan
- Kurtis ‘Aui_2000’ Ling
